Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Florence Life (www.florencelife.co) is a hotel and travel guide to Florence, Italy, and is part of the Exclusive Villa Collection family. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who We Are

Florence Life is operated by Jason GaNung as part of the Exclusive Villa Collection family. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means Florence Life. Questions can be sent to info@exclusivevillacollection.com.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways:

Information you give us. When you join our newsletter, we collect your email address. When you use a Plan My Stay or trip inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, travel dates, number of guests, and any notes you choose to share.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our site collects technical and usage data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and approximate location. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from partners. If you click an affiliate link and make a booking, the partner may tell us that a booking was made so we can receive a commission. We generally do not receive your payment details from these partners.

How We Use Your Information

To send you our newsletter and travel updates you signed up for.
To respond to your trip inquiries and help plan your stay.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website.
To understand how visitors use the site through analytics.
To show and measure advertising, including through third-party cookies.
To track affiliate referrals so we can be paid by partners.
To meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Trip Inquiries and the Exclusive Villa Collection Travel Desk

When you submit a Plan My Stay or trip inquiry form on Florence Life, your details (name, email, travel dates, number of guests, and notes) are sent to the Exclusive Villa Collection travel desk at https://exclusivevillacollection.com/plan/. Exclusive Villa Collection is a separate website in the same family as Florence Life. Your inquiry is handled by real travel advisors, who will use your information to contact you and help arrange your trip. If you go ahead with a booking, your advisor will share the details needed with the hotels or providers involved so they can fulfill your reservation.

Our newsletter signup form is run through Wix. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.

Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies, including third-party cookies, on this website to help operate our site and for analytics and advertising purposes. Our site is hosted on Wix, which sets its own cookies needed to run the site and collects standard visitor data. You can learn more in the Wix Privacy Policy and the Wix guide to cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work properly without them.

Affiliate Links

This travel guide contains affiliate links, which support us at no extra cost to you. For example, we link to tours offered by The Tour Guy and Viator. When you click one of these links, the partner may set cookies on your device to track the referral. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Exclusive Villa Collection travel desk, to handle your trip inquiry, as described above.
Hotels, tour operators, and other travel providers, when needed to arrange a booking you have asked for.
Service providers, such as Wix for website hosting, forms, and email, and analytics and advertising providers.
Affiliate partners, such as The Tour Guy and Viator, through referral tracking when you click their links.
Professional advisers and authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.

Data Security

We use reasonable measures, including the security provided by our hosting platform, to protect your information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, such as keeping you on our newsletter until you unsubscribe or handling your trip inquiry, and as needed to meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, and certain US states, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To make a request, email info@exclusivevillacollection.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

International Visitors

Our website and service providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries. By using the site, you understand that your information may be transferred to countries with different data protection laws than your own.

Children's Privacy

Florence Life is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Third-Party Websites

Our site links to other websites, including hotels, tour operators, affiliate partners, and the Exclusive Villa Collection site. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.
