Welcome to Florence Life (www.florencelife.co), my personal travel guide to Florence, Italy, and part of the Exclusive Villa Collection family. I'm Jason GaNung, and I write this site. In these terms, "Florence Life," "I," "me," "we," "us," and "our" mean Florence Life and its owner. "You" means anyone who visits or uses the site.
By using this site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About the Content
Florence Life is a travel guide. Articles, hotel and restaurant recommendations, itineraries, maps, and tour suggestions are for general information and inspiration only. They are my personal opinions and experiences. Nothing on this site is professional, legal, financial, medical, immigration, or safety advice.
2. Information Accuracy and No Warranty
Travel details change often. Prices, rates, opening hours, closing days, ticket rules, event dates, menus, amenities, availability, transport schedules, and entry requirements can change at any time and without notice. I try to keep things current, but I cannot guarantee that anything on the site is complete, current, or accurate.
Please verify important details with official sources before you travel or spend money, such as the venue, hotel, museum, tour operator, airline, or relevant government website.
This website and all its content are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Florence Life makes no express or implied representations or warranties of any kind, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and does not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors or harmful components.
3. Affiliate and Commission Disclosure
This travel guide contains affiliate links, which support us at no extra cost to you.
Some links on the site, including links to tours with The Tour Guy and Viator, and links to other booking sites, hotels, products, and services, are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or booking, Florence Life may earn a commission. Hotel bookings made through our travel advisors may also earn us a commission from the hotel or partner.
These commissions never add to the price you pay. I only recommend places and experiences I believe are worth your time, and earning a commission does not change my editorial opinions. Not every link is an affiliate link, and the presence or absence of an affiliate relationship does not determine whether a place is featured.
4. Referrals to Exclusive Villa Collection
Florence Life is part of the same family as Exclusive Villa Collection, my luxury travel advisory. Some pages invite you to plan a stay or contact a travel advisor, and those requests are referred to Exclusive Villa Collection. Florence Life and its owner have a financial interest in Exclusive Villa Collection and may benefit from bookings made through it, including commissions paid by hotels, villas, or other providers. You are never required to use Exclusive Villa Collection, and you are free to book directly with any provider.
5. Trip Inquiries and Bookings
When you submit a Plan My Stay or trip inquiry form, your request is sent to the Exclusive Villa Collection travel desk at https://exclusivevillacollection.com/plan/, a separate site in the same family as Florence Life, where real travel advisors handle it.
Submitting an inquiry is a request for help only. It is not a reservation, quote, or contract, and it does not guarantee availability or price. Any booking is confirmed only when your advisor or the provider confirms it in writing, and it may be subject to additional terms provided at that time, including the terms of Exclusive Villa Collection and of each provider.
6. Hosted Stays, Complimentary Experiences, and Partnerships
From time to time I may receive hosted or complimentary stays, meals, tours, tickets, products, or other benefits, or work with brands, hotels, tourism boards, or other partners, including paid partnerships. When content involves a material connection like this, I aim to disclose it clearly on that content.
Editorial independence. My opinions are my own. Partners do not get to approve, edit, or buy a positive review, and accepting a hosted experience does not guarantee coverage or a favorable write-up. Your experience may differ from mine, since hosted guests can sometimes receive different service than paying guests.
7. Third-Party Providers and Bookings
Hotels, villas, tour operators, restaurants, transport companies, booking platforms, and other travel providers set their own terms, including rates, payment, deposits, cancellation, refund, change, and liability policies. When you book with them, whether directly, through an affiliate link, or through an advisor, your contract for those services is with that provider, and the supplier's terms apply.
Florence Life is not a travel agency, tour operator, or seller of travel, and does not sell, operate, or control any travel service. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, errors, services, safety, pricing, cancellations, delays, or policies of third-party providers. Any complaint, refund, or claim about a booking must be raised with the provider.
8. Third-Party Websites
The site links to websites we do not own or control, including affiliate partners, booking sites, hotel sites, maps, embedded videos, and social media. We are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, security, or privacy practices, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on that site. Visiting those sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
9. Travel at Your Own Risk
Travel involves risks, including illness, injury, theft, weather, strikes, closures, crowds, and changing local conditions. You are responsible for your own decisions, safety, health, belongings, travel documents, and compliance with local laws and entry rules. Any activity, route, restaurant, or experience mentioned on this site is undertaken entirely at your own risk. Please use your own judgment and follow official guidance.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Florence Life, its owner, and its affiliates, partners, officers, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, or expense of any kind arising out of or connected with:
• your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content;
• any reliance on information on the site, including errors or outdated details;
• any travel, booking, product, or service provided by a third party, including those reached through affiliate links or advisor referrals;
• any third-party website; or
• any user content.
This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, and loss of money, data, profits, or enjoyment, whether under contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if we were advised of the possibility. Florence Life accepts no liability to you of any kind. Some places do not allow certain limits, so some of these may not apply to you, but they apply to the fullest extent your law permits.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Florence Life and its licensors own all rights to the content on this website, including text, photographs, videos, maps, graphics, logos, and design, and all rights are reserved. My photos and writing are my own original work.
Some images are provided by hotels, tour operators, tourism boards, and other partners, and are labeled "Photo courtesy of" the relevant partner. Those images remain the property of their owners and are used with permission. They are not licensed to you for any use.
You may view the site and share links to our pages for personal, non-commercial use. You must not, without prior written permission:
• republish material from Florence Life;
• sell, rent, or sub-license material from Florence Life;
• reproduce, duplicate, copy, download, or screenshot material for reuse;
• redistribute content from Florence Life, including on social media, other websites, or in AI training datasets;
• scrape, crawl, or harvest content by automated means; or
• remove watermarks, credits, or copyright notices.

Copyright concerns. If you believe something on the site infringes your rights, contact us with details of the work, where it appears, and your contact information, and we will review it promptly.
12. User Content, Comments, and Forum Rules
If the site offers comments, a forum, reviews, or other ways to post or send content, these rules apply.
Your license to us. If you send us or post any text, photos, or other material on this website, you grant Florence Life a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute it in any media. You confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. You remain responsible for what you post.
Community rules. Please be kind and helpful. Do not post anything that is:
• unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, or abusive;
• false, misleading, or a fake review;
• spam, advertising, self-promotion, or affiliate links of your own, unless we allow it;
• someone else's private information, or content you do not have the right to share;
• malicious code, or anything that interferes with the site.
Our right to remove content. We may review, edit, refuse, hide, or remove any content, and suspend or block any user, at any time and for any reason, without notice. We are not obligated to monitor content and are not responsible for content posted by users. Opinions in user content belong to their authors, not Florence Life.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the site in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that interferes with its operation, including submitting false inquiries, spam, or malicious code, attempting unauthorized access, or overloading the site.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Florence Life, its owner, and its affiliates, partners, officers, employees, and contractors, to the fullest extent permitted by law, against any liabilities, losses, costs, demands, claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the site, your user content, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and applicable federal law of the United States of America, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Florida for the resolution of any disputes.
17. Severability
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that part will be limited or removed to the minimum extent needed, and the rest of these terms will remain in effect.
18. No Waiver and Assignment
If we do not enforce any part of these terms, that is not a waiver of our right to do so later. We may transfer our rights under these terms, for example if the site is sold or reorganized.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when they were last changed. By continuing to use the site, you agree to the current version, so please review this page from time to time.
20. Entire Agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any legal notices on this website, are the entire agreement between you and Florence Life about your use of the site and replace any earlier agreements on the same subject.
